Sukhahar means finding happiness in food and that’s simply what we provide. Being a small family business that came from an incredible culture, we decided we wanted to share our love and happiness of enjoying Indian food. Our catering is not just about providing food rich in spices and herbs, it’s about making you a part of this family in which we truly care for our customers and want you to experience just this tiny part of our magnificent culture.

Originating from south India, we as a family have worked so hard to get to where we are now. Imagine moving to a new country, where you know no one and understanding the ways of life there pretty quickly- seems pretty hard, doesn’t it. Well, that’s exactly what we’ve done. Having had many hard times but also many good times, we always had each other and our warm fresh home cooked food that reminded us of the homeland we came from, every meal. Family and food immediately became the solid rock in all our lives and we want you to experience the same warm fuzzy feeling called Sukhahar we all feel.

Experimenting and finding new recipes for Indian food went from being a hobby to a passion almost instantly with all the extra time we had on our hands during COVID lockdowns. And so we decided to cook hot meals filled with rich Indian spices for the homeless in Exeter with Salvation Army and that was when we realized we absolutely loved creating food that made others so happy with full bellies. Isn’t that what being Indian is all about?
